Technique Instructions:
1. Use your rubber brayer to roll an even layer of your lightest color ink over your Glossy White Cardstock. Don't be afraid to roll back and forth and to re-ink the brayer until you get a consistent color! Allow ink to dry.
~The Stampin'Up!® sample uses Bashful Blue Classic Ink as the first layer on a 4"x5.25" piece of Glossy White cardstock.

2. Next, cover (mask) a section of your cardstock that will remain your lightest color by using a piece of typing paper or a Post-It Note. A Post-It Note works great because you can stick it in place while you use the brayer.
~The sample uses Post-It Notes taped together and cut in an arc by using a CD as a template. This is used to cover the Bashful Blue area to protect it from the next layer of color.

3. Use your rubber brayer to roll an even layer of your next darkest color ink over the remainder of your cardstock. If your brayer does not get in close to the edge of the paper mask use a sponge and the ink to fill in the line. Allow ink to dry.
~The sample uses Not Quite Navy Classic Ink for the middle layer.

4. Use your paper again to mask a section of the cardstock before you apply your last ink color. Use the rubber brayer to roll an even layer of your darkest color ink over the remainder of your cardstock. Allow to dry.
~ The sample uses Night Of Navy Classic Ink for the darkest layer.

5. Complete your card by stamping a bold image right on your completed Brayered Sky or by adding a focal point (such as the spaceship in the sample).
~ To complete the Spaceship Card sample: Stamp the Spaceship from the "Pun Fun" Stamp Set on Whisper White cardstock with black StazOn® Ink. Use a Blender Pen with Stampin'Up! Classic Ink pads to color in the image (sample uses Real Red, Not Quite Navy, Bashful Blue, Going Gray). Mat the image on a piece of Real Red cardstock and add Silver Eyelets as an accent.
Use a sponge to gently apply Whisper White Craft Ink over the Bashful Blue area to create the look of clouds. Use a rubber stamp from the "Itty Bitty Backgrounds" set with Whisper White Craft Ink on the darkest (Night of Navy) area to create the look of stars. Be careful not to move the stamp around on the Glossy cardstock because it will smear--just go down with an even pressure and lift it straight back up. Allow the White Craft Ink to dry. HINT: Instead of the Itty Bitty Background stamp, use the Sweet Stars Wheel that is FREE in April with the purchase of the Pun Fun set!!
Tie a piece of coordinating ribbon around your Brayered Sky cardstock (sample uses Red Gingham ribbon). Mat this cardstock on a 4.25"x5.5" piece of coordinating cardstock (sample uses Real Red). Attach your Spaceship image to the card. Use Crystal Effects on the window of the spaceship to make it look like glass.

You can mask the Glossy White Cardstock first (without rolling on any ink) to create a first layer that looks like snow.
